We have planned and craved to come back to Binondo a lot of Sundays past. So when me and Baby was able to ditch the usual food trips we do and actually have time to travel, we went to Binondo - to a quaint but jampacked Chinese restaurant named Wai Ying.
| Feels like home to me |
So we stood around inside the restaurant for quite a while before we're able to be seated (I can't emphasize more that it was jampacked with lots of people). Service was a bit cold but I understood as there were a lot of patrons waiting to be served while they were accommodating all our questions about the menu.
| A lot of characters I'm supposed to understand but I don't |
I'm sure you're all TL;DR after the last paragraph but wait for the next ones, as the food photos you'll be seeing will make you want to taste them yourselfs.
| OOPS that's my girlfriend and the MC Hammer Rule applies - Can't Touch This |
Wait, here they are:
| It gets better |
Mine was Asado Mami, which debunked my assumption that the soup will be thick - like the asado we're used to eating inside buns of siopao. We also ordered Sharksfin Dumplings and Kutchai Dumplings (the latter we weren't able to take photos of as we pounced on them with our forks as soon as they arrived).
| Baby ordered a bowl of Soy Chicken Mami. Plain on looks, big on taste |
So, there you have it. I'm afraid of writing more about the trip as this is supposed to be an entry about the food and not about us (HAHA) so it'll be TL;DR.
